Ingredients
1½cupsfreshly squeezed orange juice
½cupvanilla yogurt or plain yogurt
½cupcoconut milk
1tablespoonmaple syrup or honey(or add to taste)
½cupice cubes
Instructions
Squeeze the orange juice.
Add vanilla yogurt, coconut milk, orange juice, sweetener, and ice cubes into the blender.
If using plain yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Blend until everything is well combined and frothy. Do not over blend.
Pour into serving glasses and serve chilled.
Notes
Oranges: Use freshly squeezed orange juice for the best taste. Instead of juice, you can add peeled oranges into the blender. If using peeled oranges, add two medium or one large orange.
Coconut Milk: Use chilled coconut milk for the best results. Instead of coconut milk, coconut cream can also be used for a thicker and creamier smoothie.
Yogurt: Use chilled yogurt and instead of vanilla yogurt, add plain yogurt and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Add one frozen banana for a thick and creamy smoothie if you do not like yogurt in your smoothie.
Sweetener: I have added maple syrup, but any sweetener of choice can work for this smoothie.
Ice: It is essential to add crushed ice or ice cubes for the frothy and thick smoothie. Instead of ice, you can freeze coconut milk in the ice tray and use coconut ice cubes for the smoothie.
