Storing Suggestions
This salad is best enjoyed on the day it is prepared, when the grapes and tomatoes are at their freshest.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Before serving, stir well and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Notes
Choose Sweet Grapes: Grape quality significantly affects the final flavor. Use ripe, sweet, and firm grapes for the most delicious salad.
Use Fresh Tomatoes: Choose fresh, ripe tomatoes that are firm yet juicy. Overripe tomatoes can make the salad watery.
Adjust the Seasonings: The sweetness of grapes varies by variety and season. Taste the salad before serving and adjust the lemon juice, salt, or sweetener as needed.
Serve Chilled: This salad tastes especially refreshing when slightly chilled. Refrigerate it for 15-20 minutes before serving on warm days.
Add Herbs Just Before Serving: Fresh cilantro stays vibrant and fresh when added at the last minute.
Make It Ahead: If preparing in advance, combine all ingredients except cilantro and salt. Refrigerate until serving time, then add the cilantro and salt just before serving for the freshest flavor and texture.
