This Grape and Tomato Salad brings fresh and vibrant flavors to the plate. It consists of sweet and juicy grapes, tomatoes, and herbs and is flavored with pantry staple seasonings!
1½cupsgrapes, cut into halves(I used a mix of red and green)
1cupgrape or cherry tomatoes, cut into halves
2teaspoonground roasted cumin powder
½teaspoonfine sea salt (or to taste)
½teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
½teaspoonchaat masala
1teaspoonmaple syrup or honey(optional)
2tablespoonfinely chopped cilantro
Lemon juice to taste
Instructions
Cut the grapes and tomatoes in halves. If you prefer smaller bites, cut into four pieces.
Add the chopped grapes and tomatoes to a mixing bowl. Add ground cumin, salt, pepper, chaat masala, and sweetener and toss well.
Taste and adjust the seasonings as required. Add chopped cilantro and lemon juice, mix, and serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.
Storing Suggestions
This Grape and Tomato Salad is best served on the same day it is made. However, leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for two days.
Notes
Grapes: This salad can be made using a mix of colored grapes or only green, red, or black grapes. Choose sweet grapes for the best results.
Make-Ahead: This salad is quick and can be prepared in 10 minutes. However, if you still want to make it in advance, mix all the ingredients except the salt and cilantro. Refrigerate the salad until serving time. When ready to serve, add salt and cilantro and toss well.
