Prevent your screen from going dark
Toast the bread slices until firm and golden brown. Set them aside.
Remove the pit from the avocado. Scoop out the flesh of the avocado with a spoon and place it in a bowl.
Add salt, freshly ground black pepper, and lemon juice.
Mash the avocado using a fork until it is smooth and everything is well combined. Then, taste the mashed avocado and adjust the seasonings if needed.
Spread the mashed and seasoned avocado on top of your bread toasts.
Sprinkle some red pepper flakes and finely chopped coriander leaves.
You can also top the avocado toast with the toppings of your choice. I have suggested the variations in the post.
Serve the avocado toast immediately.
- Bread: Choose the bread of your choice. Toast the bread until it is firm and golden brown to hold the mashed avocado well.
- Consistency: Mash the avocado to a smooth consistency or with some chunks, as you prefer.
- Spices: Instead of red pepper flakes, you can also sprinkle some cayenne pepper or hot paprika.
