Avocado Toast (Healthy, Easy, Quick)

Avocado Toast makes a healthy, filling, simple, and yet delicious meal. Creamy avocado with seasonings spread on the toast is one of the best things!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bread slices (I have used whole-wheat bread)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bread slices until firm and golden brown. Set them aside.
  • Remove the pit from the avocado. Scoop out the flesh of the avocado with a spoon and place it in a bowl.
  • Add salt, freshly ground black pepper, and lemon juice.
  • Mash the avocado using a fork until it is smooth and everything is well combined. Then, taste the mashed avocado and adjust the seasonings if needed.
  • Spread the mashed and seasoned avocado on top of your bread toasts.
  • Sprinkle some red pepper flakes and finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • You can also top the avocado toast with the toppings of your choice. I have suggested the variations in the post.
  • Serve the avocado toast immediately.

Notes

  1. Bread: Choose the bread of your choice. Toast the bread until it is firm and golden brown to hold the mashed avocado well.
  2. Consistency: Mash the avocado to a smooth consistency or with some chunks, as you prefer.
  3. Spices: Instead of red pepper flakes, you can also sprinkle some cayenne pepper or hot paprika.
