I am a self-taught cook, baker, recipe writer, editor, and photographer for this small webspace. Vegehomecooking is a place for me to share the recipes I love and enjoy. I focus on creating vegetarian recipes (No-Onion and No-Garlic) and Egg-free, Gelatin-Free baked goods and desserts.
My goal with each recipe I create is to make simple, convenient, and great food that tastes delightful and flavorful without spending hours in the kitchen.
All of my recipes are tried and tested several times in my kitchen before they go on my blog.
About Vege Home Cooking!
I started Vegehomecooking while I was working as a medical lab technician. While I was happy doing my job, my passion for food and my desire to spend more time creating new recipes were proliferating. So, I decided to be fully committed to my passion and started working as a full-time food blogger.
Well, this love for cooking and baking was not an immediate affair. I grew up watching my mom cook, always trying and successfully creating new recipes. Because even as a child, I always loved to eat different dishes, I started experimenting with cooking at an early age.
But after moving to Canada, I intensely started experimenting with new recipes. There were two main reasons: we don’t eat onion and garlic, and it’s always hard to find eggless baked goods in the shop or bakery. So, a foodie like me couldn’t resist and started cooking and baking at home.
Family, friends, and colleagues often asked me for egg-free baking recipes and vegetarian recipes without onion and garlic. So, I decided to share my recipes through this food blog. Vegehomecooking reflects my passion for cooking and baking.
My main goal is to reach more people through my food blog, which has vegetarian, vegan, no onion, no garlic, and egg-free recipes.
About Me
- I was born and raised in India and moved to Canada in 2006. We are a small family: me, my loving husband, Prashant, and our son, Dhumin, a wonderful boy. While I am fortunate to have an equally enthusiastic husband about good food, my son acts as my food critic and provides honest opinions.
- While I am taking care of recipes, my husband takes charge of shooting and editing my videos.
- I am a real foodie! While I enjoy cooking, I love baking. Baking is my stress buster and passion, and I take it as a challenge to create as many egg-free recipes as possible.
- Apart from cooking and baking, my other love is reading. I was often called a book warm by my parents, friends, and neighbors back home.
