Ingredients

  • 1 Cup split green moong dal
  • 2 tablespoon rice flour
  • ¼ Cup coriander leaves
  • 1 Green chili
  • Small piece of ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil (Ghee or Butter for spreading on dosa as needed)

Instructions

  • Rinse moong dal thoroughly until water runs clear. Soak the dal in water for 1-3 hours. After soaking drain the water from the dal completely.
  • Take moong dal, coriander leaves, green chilli and ginger into grinder jar and grind it to the smooth paste. Add some water while grinding if needed.
  • Take the paste in to a medium bowl and add salt and rice flour. Mix well and add water to make the batter of spreading consistency, just like regular dosa batter. Mix well.
  • Heat flat non stick pan or dosa pan and pour the batter with ladle and spread it into a circle with the back of the ladle.
  • Let it cook until it starts leaving sides from the pan and add some oil, Ghee or butter and spread over the dosa. Once the dosa is crispy, remove it from the pan carefully.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
