Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ cup Greek or plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Maple syrup or honey to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Add more almond milk to adjust the consistency if the smoothie is thick.
  • If you use fresh blueberries, add a handful of ice cubes.
  • Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. You can top the smoothie with blueberries and almond flakes if desired.

Notes

  1. Blueberries: Instead of frozen, you can use fresh blueberries. Add a handful of ice cubes while blending the smoothie with fresh blueberries.
  2. Almond Butter: You can still make this smoothie even if you do not have almond butter. Instead of almond butter, you can use 10-12 whole almonds.
  3. Yogurt: Greek, plain, or vanilla yogurt can be used for this smoothie.
  4. Sweetener: If the blueberries are sweet enough, you may not need to add any sweetener. Otherwise, you can add maple syrup, honey, or coconut sugar to your taste.
