Ingredients

  • 3 cups watermelon chunks deseeded
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2-3 tablespoon rose syrup or to taste
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • Take all the ingredients in the blender.
  • Blend until everything is well combined to get a smooth consistency.
  • Pour the watermelon lassi into serving glasses, add more ice and watermelon chunks if you prefer.
  • Serve the drink immediately.

Serving Suggestions

  • It is best to serve this smoothie immediately. But if you like, you can also let it chill in the refrigerator for up to an hour and then serve.
  • Serve the lassi with more ice cubes, or add some watermelon chunks.
  • You can garnish it with mint leaves or edible rose petals.

Substitute The Rose Syrup

  • If you do not have rose syrup, you can add sugar and 2-3 teaspoon of rose water. Or, instead of rose water, add a few drops of rose essence or extract for the fresh rose flavor.
  • Instead of rose syrup or sugar, you can also add agave, honey, or maple syrup.
  • If you do not use rose syrup, please note that the color of the smoothie will be lighter.

Notes

  1. For the thicker lassi consistency, you can use Greek yogurt instead of plain.
  2. If you like your smoothie of slushy consistency, freeze watermelon chunks before using them for the smoothie.
  3. Add rose syrup as per your sweetness preference.
  4. If you want to skip rose syrup or additional sugar, just add few drops of rose essence for the flavor. Or add 2-3 teaspoon of rosewater.
  5. If you do not want to add ice cubes, let the watermelon lassi chill in the fridge and then serve.
